ring the bell

  • Sequence of Movement

The flat hand is placed on the right shoulder blade of the person addressed and raised several times by short twisting movements in the wrist in such a way that the edge of the hand always remains on the back while the rest of the palm is released. This movement symbolizes a door that opens and closes. In a second movement, performed on the upper arm, one shows the sign for pause. Here, the addressing person shapes their hand as if they were holding the clapper of a small bell. The hand is now placed on the upper arm of the person addressed and moved to the right and left (imitating a bell movement).

    Shape of hand

Flache, ausgestreckte Hand. Finger eng beisammen, Daumen locker abgespreizt.
Daumen liegt auf dem locker angewinkelten Zeigefinger, die restlichen Finger bilden eine Faust.
