  • Sequence of movement

The left hand is formed into a flat hand and placed with the outer edge of the hand on the upper part of the upper arm of the person being addressed (fingertips pointing forward). The right hand, which also forms a flat hand but with the fingers slightly bent, is also placed on the arm with the outer edge of the hand. This, however, is done lower (and just above the elbow) in a vertical path so that the fingertips point upward. In three successive movements, the right hand is now moved up and down so that the fingertips briefly bump against the other hand each time (similar to the movement in the gesture for "disabled").

  • Sequence of movement

The left hand is formed into a flat hand and placed with the outer edge of the hand on the outer left shoulder blade of the person addressed (fingertips pointing upward). The right hand, which also forms a flat hand but with the fingers slightly bent, is also placed with the outer edge of the hand on the upper back. This is done about halfway between the two shoulder blades, with the fingertips pointing to the left. In three successive movements, the right hand is now moved to the left so that the fingertips briefly bump against the other hand each time (similar to the movement in the gesture for "disabled").
